letter 24: the unhinged era (in a good way)
are you feeling the unhinged energy of this year yet? and, I don’t mean that in the in the way you’re probably thinking. the word unhinged has two definitions: 1) unsettled, disordered, or distraught 2) having no hinge or hinges, or with the hinges removed.
let’s focus on definition #2.
I was having a chat with one of my besties and she said “the word of the year is unhinged, because that’s what I’m going to be.”. at first, we laughed about the fact that it’s impossible to not somewhat feel a bit ~coo coo~ living in this world, but she was actually pointing to the fact that she wants to open the metaphorical door that represents her embodying her authentic truth and walk through it. and, because opening the door isn’t enough, it’s time to take the hinges off and leave it wide open.
in other words:
no turning back.
no more settling.
no more compartmentalizing any parts of ourselves to appease others.
no more closed doors.
with that said, I ask you again, are you feeling the unhinged energy of this year? are you feeling like you’re ready to open the door that represents the real authentic you?
who are you when you’re not holding back? (feel free to respond to this email with the answer to that question❤️)
with love always,
Cat, a gal tryin’ her best
