letter #11: squeeze your creative juice
hi beautiful,
I have been thinking a lot about creativity, creative potential, and the elements of our individual expression that lack cultivation. this deep pondering stems from my own desire to dig deep and commit to consistently showing up to my creative life. I not only feel a draw to articulate my feelings and thoughts, but feel inspired about the possibility that my creation(s) could open up a pathway for another person to feel visible.
when I reflect about what I believe an antidote to the cynical world we live in might be, it seems obvious and almost too simple of an answer. the remedy lies in our collective potential to create society altering bodies of work as they are the symbols that evolution and change are upon us. whether they appear as beautiful paintings, music, poems, books, new philosophies, sustainable materials-we need it all.
the reason i’m writing this all here is because there is an overflow of creative kindling within your spirit waiting to be lit. sparking that soulful fire within won’t be easy, but once you get it going, my God will you be grateful for it. and guess what? so will I, and everyone else around you.
when you’re in alignment with your creative power and your potential to impact the world in whatever way you were destined to, you make my life and this world better.
I can’t think of a better season than this one to begin squeezing your creative juices. you deserve to feel inspired by your thoughts and possibilities, but if that isn’t enough of a reason to commit, do it for the rest of us because our world needs your light.
sincerely,
Cat, a gal tryin’ her best.
