hi!
how is your spring experience going so far? mine has felt amazing (minus the allergies of course š„“!). this season is truly showing me so much love.
a week ago I decided that it was time for a digital detox and it just kinda struck my awareness while I was scrolling on instagram. it felt like an immense feeling of boredom and anxiety at once, but most importantly, i was interrupting my sacred peace of mind. since then, iāve deleted instagram and tiktok off of my phone and havenāt engaged much, which as always, has felt amazing.
every time i take a break from social media i am reminded deeply about how i just know deep down that iām not designed to be on it consistently. like everything else, my desire to spend intentional time online comes in seasons. although this isnāt good from an āalgorithm perspectiveā, i mostly donāt care anymore.
our wellbeing is more important than being trapped in the attention economy, but oftentimes thatās not the underlying feeling I pick up on within the creator/freelance space. the fear for so many is to lose momentum attention, but that doesnāt resonate with me anymore.
what is for you is for you. taking a break off of social media from time to time isnāt going to get in the way of any blessing thatās on the way to you right now. i donāt think the universe works that way.
